My friend D. introduced me to her friend C. C. and I finally met and ate together today. I like her, but as I was trying to get to know her, she often mentions her ex, but not in romantic way. I don’t know if this means she still has feelings for him (despite him cheating on her and such). But D. told me they’re still friend so I guess that’s the reason why she mentions. Surprisingly C. said I’m a great husband/boyfriend/father kinda guy because of the way I treated her. Is that a good sign?

I would say that you are something she’s looking for. She mentions her ex to you because she’s pointing out the things about him that she doesn’t like, hoping that you are nothing like him. Because I sometimes do the same thing… mention my ex here and there, the things that I didn’t like about him. If they’re still friends then maybe she’s not completely over him yet but she’s opening up to you about her past relationship. I think things are going to be just fine for you. Just don’t rush into it. Take it in slowly. Let her decide. :)
