Me and this guy have been talking for almost 2 years. I told him I wasn't ready for a relationship last year and he was really understanding. But naturally things progressed with us anyway, unofficially. Some days are awesome and it's as if we're a couple and then there are times we can go days without even talking. What do you think about this situation?
I think that you both know that you’ll always be there for each other. Talking for that long and not being official seems like you know that they’ll be around no matter what. Or maybe you’re scared to risk the relationship that you already have with them. Scared to lose them as a friend, if things don’t work out. 2 years without being official is a very long time. But if you don’t think that you can see yourself with them as a significant other then you have to do something about it. It’s not healthy for either one of you to continue this “more than just friends” relationship.
